Local Government Chairman Attends Commemoration of Melford Okilo in Yenagoa
Last night, Hon. Bulodisiye Ndiwari, the Local Government Chairman, accompanied by his Vice, Hon. Enize Josephine Omavie, and other Principal Council Officers, attended this year's commemoration of Melford Okilo at the Gabriel Okara Cultural Centre in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.
The event featured an enlightening lecture delivered by Ambassador (Dr.) Godknows Igali, titled "Okilo: The Bridge Builder and His Contribution to Nigeria's Political Stability." Governor Douye Diri, represented by the Deputy Governor, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, described the late Sage as a political enigma who lived a life of impact.
